VRT in Belgium has commissioned a local take on the Warner Bros. International Television Production (WBITVP) format Hello Goodbye.
The format, originated by WBITVP label BlazHoffski, has run for 25 seasons in the Netherlands and has been remade in 14 markets, among them Canada, Brazil, France, Italy,WBITVP Belgium is producing the adaptation for VRT 1 and VRT MAX. Manu Van Acker hosts.
“Hello Goodbye is a format I’ve always had a real affection for because of the way it uncovers the powerful stories in the simple act of saying goodbye or welcoming a loved one home,” said André Renaud, GVP of format and finished Sales at WBITVP. “I remember watching the U.K. version when it originally aired and am delighted that our talented team at WBITVP Belgium will be working with VRT to capture those moments for Belgian viewers later this year.”
