America’s Wars, a three-part doc series from eco documentaries, will be represented worldwide by ZDF Studios.
Set to air on ZDFinfo, the series is set to deliver this May, exploring how military conflicts have shaped America’s self-image, from the late 18th century and the Spanish-American War through to the present day, including two World Wars, the Cold War, and America’s presence in the Middle East. The series uses archive material, some of which is newly colorized, re-creations, graphic visualizations of battlefields, and expert insights.
Nikolas Hülbusch, Director Unscripted at ZDF Studios, said, “For around 250 years, the United States has been involved in wars and, to this day, remains at the centre of public debate between its claim to be a guardian of democratic values and its clearly defined foreign policy interests. America’s Wars examines these developments in a fact-based, multi-perspective, and visually compelling way. The team at eco documentaries combines meticulous research, rare archive material, and clear analysis—an approach that offers international audiences valuable orientation at a time when historical experience and contemporary debate increasingly intersect.”
