Mandai X, a division of the Mandai Wildlife Group in Singapore, has aligned with CAKE on a new kids’ animated series, Ranger Buddies.
The series is based on Mandai X’s award-winning edutainment brand, inspired by the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, Singapore’s wildlife and nature destination. In production, the 26×11-minute series for 4- to 6-year-olds is set to premiere on Mediacorp.
“We’re excited to be producing Ranger Buddies with our friends at Mandai X,” said Ed Galton, CEO of CAKE. “When they first shared their vision for an adventure series rooted in global citizenship, we knew straight away it was a perfect fit for CAKE. It’s been a fantastic journey bringing Min and Al’s world to life, and we can’t wait to launch the series at MIPCOM.”
“We believe that caring for the world we live in begins with forming an emotional connection with it,” said Belina Lee, CEO of Mandai X. “Ranger Buddies was created to bring that connection into children’s everyday lives, using stories and characters they love to spark curiosity, build empathy and inspire meaningful action. Our ambition is to nurture a generation of young people who grow up caring for nature and wildlife, for each other, and for the communities around them, and who feel empowered to make a positive difference.”
