Dandelooo’s feature film division arrives in Annecy with an expanded slate that includes Pikkuli and Starlight Reindeer, produced by Finnish studios AittoFlow and Filmkompaniet and based on a series that has aired in 40-plus markets.
Pikkuli and Starlight Reindeer, currently in production, is set for a theatrical release in Finland in October 2027. Gebeka Films is planning a Christmas 2027 release in France.
Dandelooo Cinéma is also showcasing Acorn’s Adventure, a new 3D/CGI family feature produced by Czech studio Pure Shore and German animation house Fabian&Fred. It is expected to be released in 2028.
The company also lands at Mifa with sales in place on Born in the Jungle, selected for its worldwide premiere at Annecy. Dandelooo Cinéma has closed deals with Filmladen (Austria), Gebeka Films (France), Arthouse Traffic (Ukraine), Fivia with MegaCom Film (Southeast Europe), CAY Films (Romania and Moldova), Paradiso Films (Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands), Risi Film (Portugal), Satine Film (Italy), Outside The Box (Switzerland), and Featherstone (Vietnam). The feature, co-produced by Atom Art (Latvia), Letko (Poland), and Hausboot (Czech Republic), is inspired by the book by Luīze Pastore and the adventures of explorer Aleksander Laime and his family.
