Blue Ant Media has made several new appointments in its kids, family and YA segment, including promoting Diane Rankin to EVP and GM of content and rights.
The new appointments deliver a coordinated commercial strategy across original productions, acquisitions, distribution and consumer products as the company scales an offering that includes Tralala and BeddyByes, Mermicorno: Starfall, Crew Girl, and Camped Out.
Rankin will oversee the commercial strategy and content development for Blue Ant’s kids, family and YA portfolio. Nicola (Nikki) Andrews has been named VP of sales and acquisitions, a full-time position following serving in a consultancy capacity. Vienna Downes becomes VP and GM of consumer products after joining the company through the Thunderbird acquisition. Grace DeLorme has been tapped as coordinator for kids sales, consumer products and brand marketing.
“This structure positions us to better serve our buyers and content partners, while creating more opportunities to invest in the exceptional content, partnerships, and talent that define Blue Ant’s kids, family and YA business,” said Jennifer Twiner-McCarron, president of kids, family and YA at Blue Ant Studios.
“Our kids, family and YA business is an important strategic growth area for Blue Ant,” said Mark Bishop, chief monetization officer at Blue Ant Rights & Streaming. “By further aligning our studios and rights and streaming teams around a coordinated commercial strategy, we’re strengthening our ability to serve partners around the world and unlock new opportunities across our growing portfolio.”
Richard Goldsmith, EVP of kids and family sales and brands, is exiting the company.
