Eccho Rights has expanded into a new category, adding two successful Turkish animated franchises from Grafi2000 Productions to its catalog.
Eccho Rights has acquired the worldwide television and theatrical rights to King Shakir (Kral Şakir) and Super Team (Süper Bir Takım). King Shakir, produced for Cartoon Network Turkey, is Turkey’s longest-running animated show, having been on the air since 2016. It encompasses 400 episodes across ten seasons, plus four theatrical features. Super Team encompasses 52 episodes and a theatrical feature film, Süper Bir Takım: Varol Abi’nin Çizgi Film Makinesi.
Varol Yaşaroğlu, creator and producer at Grafi2000, said, “Eccho Rights understands how to build genuine international audiences for Turkish content, and this partnership gives King Shakir and Super Team the global platform they deserve. We have always believed these characters, this humor and this heart can connect with children and families everywhere.”
Handan Özkubat, director of Turkish drama at Eccho Rights, added, “Eccho Rights has always been driven by a single principle: finding the best content and connecting it with viewers around the world. King Shakir is a decade-long franchise with proven performance, and Super Team brings a second compelling universe from the same creative mind. This is exactly the kind of high-quality, distinctly Turkish storytelling we know how to champion globally.”
The series are part of Eccho Rights’ slate at NEM Dubrovnik.
