Chinese animation studio Fantawild Animation, the outfit behind Boonie Bears, has joined forces with Josh Selig’s China Bridge Content on Murphy’s Manor, a new animated fantasy comedy for kids.
The CGI series, featuring 52 13-minute episodes about a boy who inherits a building filled with magical, mystical creatures, is set to launch at MIPJunior and MIPCOM. It targets kids 6 to 12 and features characters inspired by Eastern mythology.
“Over the years, I’ve helped a variety of Chinese shows, including Super Wings! and P. King Duckling, make their way to leading platforms around the world,” Selig said. “Murphy’s Manor combines great comedy writing, cool oriental mythology, and truly beautiful design. It’s part of the current wave of edgy, popular new work coming out of China, and I could not be more excited about this new series from the creators of the Boonie Bears.”
