A second season of My Friend Maisy is a go, with Trustbridge Entertainment tapping BBC Studios to lead a global expansion of the preschool series across content, consumer products, and licensing.
The two companies worked together on the first season of the show, which is now in production for its second season. The expanded relationship sees BBC Studios handling brand and licensing rights outside Greater China, with Trustbridge Entertainment retaining rights within the region.
The series is a Sky Kids commission, with the platform jointly funding development on season two. It is a co-production between BBC Studios Kids & Family Productions and Trustbridge Entertainment. Encompassing 52×5-minute 2D episodes, the series is inspired by Lucy Cousins’ Maisy books, which have sold more than 46 million copies across 100 countries over 35 years.
