Seven. One Studios International Closes YouTube Aggregator Deals

Seven. One Studios International has clinched agreements for more than 500 hours of content—factual, scripted series, and TV movies—with a number of YouTube aggregators.

DubMe IO in Spain has landed a package of German TV movies and scripted series, among them Think Big and Rocky and the Cop, using its proprietary AI pipeline to distribute the slate in 30 languages across YouTube. Content Rocket in the U.K. took a slate of German and English-language TV movies for worldwide YouTube use (excluding some territories). Zylo in France opted for the French-language rights to TV movies for use in French-speaking Europe and Africa. Canal+ Distribution has also acquired some YouTube TV movie rights.

On the factual front, VA Media, Quintus Studios, and Little Dot Studios secured AVOD rights to titles for worldwide use (excluding some territories). Little Dot also opted for some FAST channel rights. Titles include the Boris Becker Special, Galileo X-plorer, Curse of the Vologne, and Every Family Has a Secret.

Tobias Schulze, SVP of global sales at Seven. One Studios International, said: “The exploitation of digital rights—particularly for YouTube—is a growth business for Seven. One Studios International, particularly when it comes to our German-language content. The cost of subtitling and dubbing has traditionally held back the distribution of foreign-language content into English-speaking markets, but this is changing. As the quality of AI dubbing improves, language will no longer be a barrier.”

The deals were negotiated by Arnaud Trottier and Christine Jais at Seven. One Studios International.
