The Two Brothers Pictures’ thriller Maya, commissioned by Channel 4, has secured presales in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand for All3Media International.
Written and created by Daisy Haggard, who stars alongside Bella Ramsey, the series is set to air in the U.S. on co-pro partner STARZ.
Presales in Europe have been confirmed with ARD, Movistar Plus, CANAL+ for POLAR+, TV 2 in Norway, TV4 in Sweden, NPO, Antena TV for AntenaPLAY, Hot and Yes TV in Israel, and Sýn hf in Iceland. Foxtel Group pre-bought the six-parter for Foxtel and BINGE, while Sky is on board for New Zealand.
“After the successful partnership on the acclaimed drama Back to Life, it’s a privilege to announce these further pre-sales for Daisy Haggard and Two Brothers Pictures’ Maya,” said Maartje Horchner, EVP for content at All3Media International. “The noted broadcaster partners from EMEA and Asia join our Americas partner STARZ for this atmospheric, darkly witty drama that centers on the powerful bond between a mother and daughter as they navigate new lives in witness protection, and its themes of identity, family and predatory male behavior are sure to resonate globally.”
