At ATF today, Fremantle unveiled a raft of scripted deals across Asia-Pac, including selling Sandokan: The Pirate Prince to HITS NOW, Hulu in Japan and LG U+ in South Korea.
The action-adventure series was produced by Fremantle’s Lux Vide for Rai (Italy) and stars Can Yaman, Alanah Bloor, Ed Westwick and John Hannah.
Lux Vide’s Hotel Costiera, with Jesse Williams, is also headed to HITS NOW and LG U+ and landed a slot with Star Entertainment in India.
BBC First and BBC iPlayer as well as Japan’s WOWOW opted for The Iris Affair, a Sky original thriller from Neil Cross.
In Hong Kong, Now TV took a package that includes Little Disasters from Roughcut Television; Film Club, a romantic comedy-drama from Gaumont UK; The Rumour, co-produced by Clapperboard Studios and Cuba Pictures; season two of Daddy Issues from Fudge Park and Big Mood season two from Dancing Ledge Productions.
LG U+ also landed a package with more than 70 hours, including Haut et Court TV and Paolo Sorrentino’s The Young Pope and The New Pope .
