Bejuba! Entertainment has sealed a deal to handle the global distribution rights to The Cloaked Realm, an independently produced animated science-fiction series.
From producers Marisa Cohen and Peter Isaac Alexander, the 10×30-minute four-quad production is inspired by lesser-known stories from prominent authors in the genre. The hand-drawn animation series has notched up 100-plus awards on the festival circuit.
“The Cloaked Realm is a rare gem—an independently created epic with extraordinary craft, a bold narrative voice, and a passion for the roots of science fiction,” said Tatiana Kober, president of Bejuba! “With its singular artistic vision, award-winning craft, and deep respect for the genre’s history, The Cloaked Realm is positioned to be one of the most distinctive animated science-fiction offerings in recent years.
Co-showrunner Alexander added, “This project is a love letter to science fiction’s roots and a reintroduction to stories that were truly ahead of their time. Our goal has always been to honor the original texts while pushing the limits of independent animation.”
