Seven. One Studios International has licensed to ChaiFlicks the exclusive SVOD rights in the U.S., U.K., and Australia for the comedy series Kid Sister.
The latest acquisition for the streaming platform dedicated to Jewish content is created, written, executive-produced by, and stars Simone Nathan. The New Zealand series, first commissioned by TVNZ, premieres on the platform this fall.
“Simone Nathan is an extraordinary talent,” said Neil Friedman, co-founder of ChaiFlicks. “Her sharp writing, distinctive sense of humor, and authentic portrayal of a young woman navigating a deeply conflicted relationship with herself and her family are truly remarkable. I would describe her voice as a blend of Lena Dunham and Jenny Slate—smart, fearless, and refreshingly original—and Kid Sister is a perfect showcase for her exceptional talent.”
ChaiFlicks has secured both seasons for a total of ten episodes. The deal was negotiated by Bill Weiner, co-founder of ChaiFlicks, and Fleur Wheatley, VP of sales at Seven. One Studios International.
