Eccho Rights has taken on the rights to The Hatmaker (Şapkacı Kadınlar), a new Turkish period drama series from O3 Medya set to premiere in early 2027.
Eccho Rights will launch presales for the new period drama at MIPCOM. The 1920s-set series stars Pınar Deniz and Selahattin Paşalı in a tale of a war veteran seeking a path to independence after being abandoned by her husband. This is Deniz’s first broadcast TV role since her turn in the International Emmy-winning Yargı (Family Secrets). Selahattin Paşalı recently featured in Ömer on Star TV and in the Netflix production Museum of Innocence (Masumiyet Müzesi).
Handan Özkubat, director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights, stated, “Pınar Deniz and Selahattin Paşalı are two of the most compelling actors working in Türkiye today, and seeing them together at the heart of a story this ambitious is genuinely exciting. Ayşe is a heroine of real depth and courage, and I have no doubt audiences around the world will fall for her.”

The Hatmaker is created and written by Necati Şahin, directed by Ömür Atay, and produced by Suzan Sümeli for O3 Medya. Eccho Rights will be distributing the 60×45-minute finished tape as well as the scripted format.
Other O3 Medya titles on the company’s slate include I Am Mother and My Sweet Lie.
