Series Mania Forum Unveils 2026 Co-Pro Pitch Lineup

Series Mania Forum has released the list of projects set to be showcased at the Co-Pro Pitching Sessions at this year’s edition next month.

The event will showcase a total of 16 projects, including Gold from Switzerland, which was announced as part of the Berlinale’s Co-Pro Series Market and is being excluded from the competition for the grand prize.

The 15 eligible projects will be judged by an international jury with the best receiving €50,000 for further development. A whopping 400 projects were submitted from 65 markets, among them Palestine, Kyrgyzstan, Cyprus, Uruguay, Panama and Malaysia.

“The Co-Pro Pitching Sessions, a well-established and eagerly awaited event in the Forum landscape for over a decade now, have had a tangible impact on many projects over the years,” said Laurence Herszberg, founder and general director of Series Mania. “It was wonderful for us to see that this year, a wide variety of countries were represented, both in the submissions and in the selected project. This year, we noted a diversity of stories in projects ranging from eco-thrillers to ‘whodunits,’ including projects that tell the stories of powerful female characters. We now look forward to welcoming our jury, composed of internationally recognized professionals, to Lille and awarding the winner of the Best Project Award with €50,000.”

Francesco Capurro, director of Series Mania Forum, added, “Since the launch of the Co-Pro Pitching Sessions at the Series Mania Forum, more than 40 projects have been produced and successfully broadcast across numerous territories. As a true development accelerator, these sessions offer a unique opportunity for producers to connect with potential co-producers, distributors, and international broadcasters, helping ambitious series reach audiences worldwide.”

The 2026 jury is led by Jorge Pezzi from Movistar Plus+ and includes ARTE’s Alexandre Piel, ZDF’s Laura Mae Harding, Paper Plane Productions’ Alon Aranya, and SVT’s Johanna Gårdare.

The selected projects are Aurora.Newsroom. from Latvia, Death of a Diplomat from Iceland and Canada, France’s Dejima, Fagnes from Belgium, the Israeli dramedy Fit, Germany’s Ignition, U.K. thriller Imposter Syndrome,  Icelandic thriller Konrad, France’s Montroc,  Finland’s Power Couple, Red Pants from Kirghizstan, the Spain/Chile co-pro The Glacier Murders, The Transfer of the Century from Italy, South Africa’s Twisted Vines and Spain’s Without Standing, plus the aforementioned Gold.
