Left Bank Pictures is producing an eight-part adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo for Sky, with Sony Pictures Television handling distribution.
The new series’ take on the globally bestselling novels by Stieg Larsson brings the storyline into the present day while remaining grounded in the characters and DNA of the Millennium novels.
It will be available on Sky in the U.K., Ireland, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Sony Pictures Television has begun presale efforts in the U.S.
Sony Pictures Entertainment made the 2011 film of the same name, directed by David Fincher and starring Rooney Mara, and the 2018 sequel The Girl in the Spider’s Web, directed by Fede Álvarez.
