Sphere Abacus has strengthened its ties with Night Train Media, taking on the rights to distribute three new titles, including The Hairdresser Mysteries, a Mill Bay Media production for the BBC.
The distributor has also taken on The Trio (excluding the Nordics and the Netherlands), based on the bestselling novel by Johanna Hedman from SF Studios for SkyShowtime; and Ian Fleming and the Curse of James Bond, a doc produced by Embankment Films and Lone Star Productions for Sky Arts.
The Sphere Abacus catalog also includes Night Train’s Deadline, Catch Me A Killer, Vikings: The Rise and Fall, Conquistadors: The Rise and Fall, and Missile From The East.
Herbert L. Kloiber, CEO of Night Train Media, commented, “Following the recent restructures with Night Train Media, we are excited to be working once again with Sphere Abacus to bring both our new and existing series to the international market. Their strong track record and global reach make them the perfect distribution partner.”
Night Train Media has exited its ownership stake in Eccho Rights, which had been serving as its international distribution partner.
Sphere Abacus’s MD, Jonathan Ford, added, “We’re delighted to continue our collaboration with Night Train Media. Their commitment and creative vision for high-quality productions embody the type of programming we represent.”
