Produced by Clapperboard in association with FIFTH SEASON, The Good Ship Murder is set to return for a fourth season at 5 in the U.K.
The new season will see Shayne Ward returning as cabaret singer turned detective Jack Grayling. The cosy crime series has been a strong performer for the British broadcaster.
“Audiences have truly embraced the show’s unique combination of mystery, music, and escapism, and we are excited to continue Jack’s journey with even more surprises and new faces in store,” said Greg Barnett, commissioning editor at 5.
EP Andy Morgan added: “As we set sail on season four, we’re welcoming a host of wonderful new faces that audiences are going to love. Together, they’ll join our hero Jack for more adventures and plenty of show-stopping tunes across the high seas. It’s a bittersweet moment as we bid a fond farewell to a beloved character and friend, but we’re very excited about the next voyage for The Good Ship Murder.”
Kate Laffey, SVP of acquisitions at FIFTH SEASON, added, “The Good Ship Murder’s blue-sky settings, musical moments, and captivating mysteries have proven to be a huge hit with viewers around the world. We’re looking forward to working with Clapperboard and 5 on a new season of this uplifting, cosy crime show that promises to deliver higher stakes and even more glittering Mediterranean locations.”
