Pan-Asian streamer Viu has launched a new section within its app specifically for microdramas.
Viu Shorts is a new section with the Viu app for 1- to 3-minute vertical videos. The multilingual slate delivers microdramas in Chinese, Korean, Thai, and Indonesian, with local-language subtitles.
The platform is available to all free and paid users, with unlimited access for Viu subs. RisingJoy, the microdrama and digital entertainment business co-founded by Cassandra Yang and Ricky Ow, is among the suppliers to the platform.
