yes Studios Broadens Scripted Format Footprint in Europe

yes Studios, home to Your Honor—which is tied for the top spot in K7’s Scripted Giants Report—has closed three new scripted format deals, all for comedies, in Europe.

Germany’s Hager Moss Films, within Constantin Film, picked up the romcom Bloody Murray, first produced by yes TV and Kastina Communications. The show recently wrapped its second season and has been adapted in Georgia.

Banijay’s MadeFor Film, meanwhile, is developing a German take on the romcom Who Died? The show was produced by Artza Productions for yes TV.

In France, Babylone Hills Productions and Screenline Productions (Culte), are developing a local version of Significant Other, which was adapted in the U.K. by Quay Street Productions for ITVX.

Sharon Levi, MD of yes Studios, commented, “yes Studios has a growing slate of brilliant homegrown comedies, and I am delighted that they are starting to gain traction with international producers and broadcasters. Each of these three titles is funny, of course, but it’s the nuanced characters, the universal situations they find themselves in, and the big heart at the core of each series that is attracting attention and demonstrating their readiness for adaptation.”
