DAZN has strengthened its football lineup in Portugal, securing the rights to 93% of all matches across the UEFA men’s club competitions for the 2027/28 to 2030/31 cycle.
The deal means DAZN will deliver to Portuguese viewers a total of 508 games per season across the UEFA men’s competitions, including 166 UEFA Champions League matches. The deal also covers exclusive UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League rights, a total of 342 matches per season, including full coverage of Portuguese teams.
DAZN will also remain home to all UEFA Youth League matches in Portugal for this cycle.
João Diogo Ferreira, MD of DAZN Portugal, said: “The UEFA Champions League is the biggest club competition in the world and holds a special meaning for DAZN in Portugal, having been part of our journey from day one. We are delighted to strengthen our portfolio with more than 500 European matches and to once again follow Portuguese clubs in the UEFA Champions League.”
Óscar Vilda, CEO of DAZN Iberia, added: “DAZN reaffirms its strong commitment to the Portuguese market, as demonstrated by this investment to bring a significant share of Portuguese clubs’ matches in the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Conference League back to our platform. We will continue to invest in acquiring new rights to strengthen our position as the leading destination for sports fans in Portugal.”
