Telemundo Studios is releasing a vertical microdrama version of the hit series Armas de Mujer on ReelShort.

Microdrama powerhouse COL Group International has officially launched operations at its Hengqin-Macau studio as it continues to scale its production capacity across long- and short-form productions.

Weekly TV and movie viewing has fallen by 2 hours since 2022, falling to 19 hours a week, while social/creator content has held steady at 11 hours a week, according to Hub Entertainment Research.

HOLYWATER, which operates the My Drama vertical series platform, among other services, has raised $22 million, led by Horizon Capital with the participation of Endeavor Catalyst and Wheelhouse, to power further expansion of its microdrama business.

MIP London will feature a dedicated strand on microdramas and vertical storytelling, including a main stage Q&A with COL Group's Timothy Oh and GammaTime's Alex Montalvo, as well as a leaders' summit.
