Volt Factor has signed a representation deal for the YouTube brand Dr. Plants covering consumer products, content development, licensing, and promotional partnerships.
The educational brand has more than 5.3 million subscribers and has generated over 730 million lifetime views since its 2019 launch. Its fanbase runs across science enthusiasts, families, and gamers. Volt Factor will look to scale the IP via consumer experiences, content initiatives, licensing programs, and brand collaborations.
“We believe every person is capable of loving nature, and those who don’t simply have not had the right experience yet,” said Jaron Brower, creator of Dr. Plants. “Dr. Plants exists to create those experiences at a scale never done before. Our mission is to leave the world more curious, connected, and alive than we found it. Together with Volt Factor, we’re building a multifaceted media company that brings the wonder of nature into every home, classroom, and workplace around the globe.”
“One of the things I learned during my years at YouTube is that audience size alone doesn’t predict long-term brand potential,” said Lindsay Hampton, co-founder and president at Volt Factor. “The creators who become enduring franchises are often the ones who own a distinctive point of view and consistently deliver it in a way that builds trust and emotional connection. Dr. Plants has created a category-defining brand at the intersection of education, entertainment, and curiosity. His audience isn’t just watching; they’re genuinely invested in the world he’s built.”
