Five years after the end of its run on Nine Network, Australian Ninja Warrior is returning in 2027, with Network 10 on board as the new local broadcaster.
The new take will be hosted by Robert Irwin, Georgie Tunny, and Beau Ryan, who will welcome contestants to an upgraded course. The series is being produced by Endemol Shine Australia. The format, distributed by Banijay Entertainment, is based on SASUKE from Tokyo Broadcasting System Television.
WPP’s Motion Entertainment is working with Network 10 and Endemol Shine Australia on partnership and brand opportunities for the return of the format.
This is the second big format home shift in Australia this month; last week, Seven Network revealed it would be the new Australian commissioner for ITV Studios’ I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! format, which spent almost a decade on 10.
