TVF International has sold titles from its extensive factual catalog to platforms across Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Dutch pubcaster AVROTROS opted for ZDF/Arte’s Welcome to Babel: Painting Communism and NDR/Arte’s Rauschenberg: Everything is Art for its arts biography slot, Close Up. Similarly, VPRO landed a package of arts titles for NPO2 Extra, including Golden Opulence: A History of Luxury and the four-part series Mamamoo: Where Are We Now?, about the K-pop girl group.
DPG Media in Belgium licensed a package for its current affairs and documentary slot, VTM1 Telefacts, with the CBC-commissioned The Ozempic Effect: Beyond the Waistline and Childhood Obesity: The Overlooked Pandemic. It also acquired the current-affairs title Stalking: State of Fear, commissioned by ITV and produced by Clover Films. Meanwhile, the pay-TV network Proximus bought Fluid: Life Beyond the Binary and Down for Love. Plattelands chose the ZDF/Arte-commissioned Planet Soil.
Alex Lindsay, TVF’s senior sales executive who brokered the deal, commented, “From the urgent social relevance of The Ozempic Effect to the high-culture appeal of our blue-chip arts slate, these deals demonstrate the continued demand for premium factual storytelling in the region. We are thrilled to partner with such prestigious broadcasters to bring these top-tier international productions to Dutch and Belgian audiences.”
