Dori Media Heads to MIPCOM with Relationship Format New Love

Dori Media Group is heading to Cannes with New Love, a hit relationship format from Abot Hameiri (Fremantle Israel), its long-running partner on Power Couple.

New Love sees four single women going through fast-track 72-hour live-in situations with potential suitors. At the end of each session, the women can opt to do another three days with their matches or start fresh with someone else. It has run for five seasons on Reshet 13 in Israel as Ahava Hadasha, steadily growing its reach with each edition, especially among the 25-to-34 demo. A sixth season is in the works.

“The numbers speak for themselves—five consecutive seasons of growth, and a format that has proven it can hook the younger demographic that every broadcaster is chasing,” said Dori Media Group CEO Nadav Palti.

“Dating shows have been selling foreplay for 25 years; New Love sells the relationship,” said Roee Strikovski, CEO of Abot Hameiri (Fremantle Israel). “That’s the whole idea. We put four women straight into real life—72 hours of actual daily life together, no filters, no isolation. Turns out, that’s where you actually find out if it works. Five seasons of Israeli audiences agree.”
