Fremantle’s Farmer Wants a Wife, marking its 25th anniversary this year, is being adapted by Naked for ITV as Farming for Love.
Naked, a Fremantle label, is producing a six-part series for ITV based on the format, which was originated by the U.K.’s Country Living magazine and has gone on to air in 34 territories worldwide.
“Farming has never been more popular, but finding love while running a farm remains a real challenge,” said Nicola Lloyd, creative director at Naked TV. “Farming for Love has all the heart, humour and authenticity that make a great dating show, and I’m thrilled we will be helping people find love this time on British farms.”
Katie Rawcliffe, director of entertainment, reality and daytime TV at ITV, added, “Farming for Love is funny, feel-good and heartwarming. It’s a love story with farming at the heart of it.”
