Daddy Issues Gets Third & Final Season at BBC

The BBC has ordered a third and final season of Daddy Issues, a hit BBC Three comedy set in Manchester, produced by Fudge Park and distributed by Fremantle.

Written by Danielle Ward, the series was BBC Three’s biggest comedy launch since the start of 2022, with season two as its top scripted title for 2025. Aimee Lou Wood and David Morrissey return to lead the cast.

“Danielle’s series three scripts are total firecrackers—acerbic but sweet, surreal but always relatable, dark around the edges but radiating with joy from the center,” commented Phil Gilbert, EP at Fudge Park. “I can’t wait for Aimee and David to bring their one-of-a-kind chemistry to these stories and welcome back our knockout supporting cast who help make Daddy Issues such a ridiculously fun world to spend time in.”

Rebecca Dundon, SVP for scripted content and global drama at Fremantle International, called the show a “standout comedy with real depth and longevity. With the new season taking the total episode count to 18, our partners around the world have an exciting opportunity to build on the series’ success while introducing new audiences to Gemma and Malcolm’s heartfelt and hilarious story.”
