ITV Studios’ travel reality competition Worlds Apart, created by South Shore, has secured its first international commission, with production underway on a Danish version for DR.
ITV Studios Denmark is making the local edition of the show, which originated on Channel 4 last year and resonated with both the 16-to-24 and 65-plus segments. It was Channel 4’s best entertainment launch since 2023 and has been licensed into 40-plus markets.
Mads Lund, MD at ITV Studios Denmark, noted, “The format’s cross-generational appeal and its mix of travel, competition and entertainment make it a fantastic fit for DR, and we’re excited to showcase a distinctly Danish take on this bold new series.”
