A three-part Christmas special for Bad Wolf’s The Other Bennet Sister, distributed by Sony Pictures Television, will arrive this year on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, and BritBox North America.
Sarah Quintrell returns to write the scripts for the Christmas special, based on storylines by Janice Hadlow, author of the novel on which the series is based. Quintrell penned nine of the ten episodes of the series. Asim Abbasi, who directed five episodes of the series, will also return to direct.
The Christmas special will film primarily in Wales this summer. The show was the biggest launch of a new drama across all platforms and streamers in the U.K. since May 2025, with 7.3 million viewers watching in its first 28 days. The launch campaign on social media generated 250 million media views across the BBC’s TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook accounts.
