Produced by Studio Ramsay Global, with FOX Entertainment Global handling international distribution, a three-part series featuring Heston Blumenthal, Gordon Ramsay, and Marco Pierre White has been commissioned by BBC One.
The Rise of the Rockstar Chef will chart the rise of the three culinary icons, exploring how their rivalry reshaped Britain’s restaurant industry. It will feature the three chefs being reunited for the first time in decades, as well as accounts from those who witnessed the feuds among them.
“Decades ago, Marco, Gordon and Heston ripped up the rule-book of British fine dining and changed the world of restaurants forever,” said Catherine Catton, head of commissioning for factual entertainment and events at the BBC. “I’m delighted they’re reuniting to bring BBC audiences the truly extraordinary story behind their fierce rivalry, uncompromising ambition and, at times, truly outrageous antics.”
