YouTube continued to dominate Nielsen’s Media Distributor Gauge ranking in November with its 12.9% share of total TV usage, while Paramount and Netflix each delivered double-digit gains.
Disney remains in the number two spot in the rankings with a 10.5% share. Paramount clinched third place at an 8.9% share, delivering a 14% month-over-month boost to capture its largest share since April. Its 0.7-point gain was the largest among all distributors and was powered by both CBS affiliates and Paramount+.
NBCUniversal was just behind Paramount at 8.8%, its largest share since April, largely fueled by Peacock’s NFL Sunday Night Football coverage, Thanksgiving Day programming, and its new original drama series All Her Fault.
Netflix is in fifth place with a 8.3% share, adding 0.3 share points. The streamer’s gain was powered by Stranger Things alongside The Beast in Me and Guillermo del Toro’s new Frankenstein film.
FOX landed an 8.1% share with a mixed performance in November; FOX affiliates saw gains thanks to sports, while FOX News Channel and FS1 saw ratings erosion in the month.
Warner Bros. Discovery recorded a 5.3% share, with Amazon at 3.9% and The Roku Channel at 2.9%.
