Acamar Films Preps YouTube Channel Rooted in Public Service Values

Acamar Films is launching a new global YouTube channel that will focus on content rooted in public-service values, having already begun conversations with producers to license completed shows.

Again! Again! promises to feature “high quality character- and narrative-driven content” supporting healthy child development and prioritizing safety, curation, and educational values.

The company says the channel will have the “look and feel” of a TV network, with gentle, purposeful content that parents can trust. Acamar Films will be licensing content on a non-exclusive basis, using a rev-share model. The slate will initially be focused on English-language animation and live action, curated by a board that includes Michael Carrington, child development expert Dr. Natascha Crandall, Debbie Macdonald, and Acamar CEO Mikael Shields.

The U.K. indie, home to the beloved Bing property, has rolled out more than 65 YouTube channels already in 33 languages across 130 territories. The network delivers 1.5 million viewing hours per day.

The channel launches in March and will soon announce a range of broadcast, programming, and distribution partnerships.

“We believe that Again! Again! will offer our audience something valuable, it will also increase discoverability, engagement, and revenue for producers,” Shields said. “We’ve proven that gentle, well-written programming can thrive over the long term on YouTube. We’d like to partner with broadcasters, peer-producers, and distributors. Let’s act together to build a new type of global public service values channel.”

Alison Lomax, managing director for YouTube in the UK and Ireland, added: “Acamar truly understands the vital importance of delivering high-quality programming underpinned by strong educational values—a mission that resonates deeply with parents and educators today. This channel is a fantastic addition to our platform, and we are thrilled to see them join our community of world-class children’s content creators.”

Content submissions to Again! Again! should be sent to hello@againagain.tv. Only English-language completed content is being considered at this time.
