FOX Entertainment Studios and BBC Studios Los Angeles are executive producing an American remake of the British comedy Mammoth for FOX, with FOX Entertainment Global set to distribute the show worldwide.
Modern Family‘s Christopher Lloyd and Danny Zuker are on board for the scripted adaptation, which follows a high school gym teacher trapped in ice after a ski avalanche in 1983 and thawed out in a world he doesn’t recognize. It is based on the BBC Studios U.K. show of the same name from Welsh comedian and writer Mike Bubbins that was recently confirmed for a third season. The FOX take arrives in the 2027/28 season.

Michael Thorn, president of FOX Television Network, called it “a wildly original comedy with huge laughs, deep heart, and characters everyone will relate to, whether they like it or not.”
