The Murder of Mr. Moonlight, an RTÉ commission in association with Screen Ireland and Banijay Rights, has been acquired for BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
Produced by Conker Pictures (part of Banijay UK) and Samson Films, the series dramatizes the disappearance and murder of Bobby Ryan, a local DJ and entertainer, in 2011 and the subsequent trial of Patrick Quirke. Based on Catherine Fegan’s book The Murder of Mr Moonlight, alongside extensive research and interviews, it was adapted for television by Malcolm Campbell.
The cast includes Brendan Coyle, Sinéad Keenan and Owen McDonnell.
