BritBox in the U.S. and Canada has boarded a reimagining of the British detective series Dalziel and Pascoe from West Road Pictures (Ridley), in association with All3Media International, with ITV as the U.K. partner.
Based on the books by Reginald Hill, the series follows the relationship between seasoned detective Dalziel and the newly qualified DS Pascoe. The original production ran for 12 seasons from 1996 to 2007.
Filming on the six-part production begins in the spring in the north of England. All3Media International will handle global rights.
Dalziel and Pascoe is co-created for television by Colette Kane and Daisy Martey. Other writers include the duo of Chris Ryden and Jon Rowe, and Danusia Samal. Jon Farrar, Stephen Nye, and Lucie Wolfman EP for BritBox. For ITV, Polly Hill and Nana Hughes have worked with BritBox on the series.
