The beloved sitcom The Inbetweeners, which ran for three seasons on Channel 4 from 2008 to 2010, with two feature film follow-ups in 2011 and 2014, is returning with a new movie on Netflix, reuniting the original cast.
Production is officially underway on The Inbetweeners, with Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas reprising their roles. Creators Damon Beesley and Iain Morris are writing and directing the new feature, which will be produced by Claire Jones alongside Banijay’s Patrick Holland and Fudge Park Production’s Mark Lesbirel.
In October of last year, Banijay UK inked a deal with Beesley and Morris’ Fudge Park Productions to explore bringing the brand back to film, TV and theater. Beesley and Morris’ previous company, Bwark Productions, originally made the show. That venture was later sold to Zodiak Media, which became part of the Banijay family in 2016.
