Lightning International is working with Japanese producer and distributor REMOW to bring the Samurai vs Ninja FAST channel to Samsung TV Plus in Southeast Asia.
The platform, produced in partnership with the Samurai Drama Channel—operated by Nihon Eiga Broadcasting—showcases more than 1,000 hours of library content. The lineup covers more than 70 series and some 200 movies, including Ninja Wars: Blackfox vs Shogun’s Ninja, which received a limited theatrical release in Japan in May.
James Ross, CEO of Lightning International, noted, “Lightning is proud to join REMOW in our mission to bring Asian entertainment to a global audience. With our long-time partnership with Samsung TV Plus, we are excited to introduce a new generation to the richness of Japanese storytelling and tradition—from the tales of samurai and ninja.”
Masayuki Sano, EVP of REMOW, added, “We are thrilled to bring the Samurai vs Ninja channel to Samsung TV Plus viewers across the Philippines, Thailand, and Singapore for free. Samurai and ninja culture represents the pinnacle of traditional Japanese storytelling, and we are excited to deliver this rich entertainment to both long-time period drama fans and a brand-new generation of viewers.”
