Secret Service, an ITV commission from Potboiler Productions distributed by All3Media International, has clinched a raft of presales across Europe and AsiaPac.
Starring Gemma Arterton, the series follows an MI6 officer investigating a U.K. politician who may be a Russian asset. It is adapted from the novel by ITV News anchor Tom Bradby.
ARD Plus acquired the show for Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In Germany, the five-part series will launch exclusively in a first‑window release on MagentaTV/Deutsche Telekom before becoming available on ARD Plus. In Switzerland, the first window is on blue Play (blue TV).
In Scandinavia, the show will be available across NRK (Norway), DR (Denmark), YLE (Finland), RUV (Iceland), and SVT (Sweden). Movistar Plus+ in Spain, AntenaPLAY in Romania and Cosmote in Greece are also on board.
Stan secured the Australian rights, while Sky will bring the show to New Zealand on Three and ThreeNow. BBBC First and BBC Player signed up for a pan-Asian deal.
Maartje Horchner, EVP for content at All3Media International, commented, “The international appetite for cinematic, high-stakes and star-studded programming is evident through this strong slate of presales, and it’s been a rare privilege to partner with Potboiler and ITV to bring an A-list led global espionage thriller to markets around the world. Gemma Arterton and Rafe Spall are on top form in this pacy thriller, that pairs powerhouse performances with edge-of-your-seat storytelling, propelling audiences across London, Malta, Finland, and beyond.”
