ITV Studios has sealed a deal that brings Hera Pictures’ What It Feels Like for a Girl to Prime Video in the U.S., launching in time for Pride Month.
Streaming today, the series is produced by Hera Pictures (Hamnet, Mary & George) for BBC and BBC iPlayer, in association with ITV Studios. The eight-part series has been hailed for its realistic portrayal of queer working-class life in early 2000s Britain. Based on the memoir by Paris Lees, it received BAFTA nominations for best limited series, memorable moment, and lead actor for Ellis Howard. It also received a drama nomination at the 2025 Rose d’Or Awards and the upcoming Banff Rockie Awards.
