Globo has renewed a deal with Ay Yapım for Turkish adaptations of its telenovelas, with Madd Entertainment leading distribution on the remakes.

MADD Entertainment has responded to the recent ruling from Türkiye's competition authority about its ownership structure: "This is a shareholder-level requirement and does not affect MADD’s day-to-day operations," the company said.

Turkish distribution outfit Madd Entertainment is to be dissolved or sold as part of a settlement with the Turkish competition authority, with joint owners Medyapim and Ay Yapim hit with fines totaling 123 million Turkish lira.
