Globo has renewed a deal with Ay Yapım for Turkish adaptations of its telenovelas, with Madd Entertainment leading distribution on the remakes.
The renewal of the partnership comes following the success of Leyla, the Turkish version of Globo’s Brazil Avenue that has logged sales in more than 100 countries.
The new partnership calls for the development of three additional titles from Globo’s catalog, beginning with Looks & Essence. The Turkish remake, Ömür Usta, is scheduled to premiere this month on Now TV. The Globo novela was previously remade for Telemundo.
Madd Entertainment will handle distribution of the adaptations, which may also be made available across Globo’s platforms in Brazil, including Globoplay and the Globoplay Novelas TV channel.
