Magic Light Pictures' brand-new Zog series, based on the books by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler and distributed by BBC Studios, is launching on ABC in Australia next month.

BBC Studios Kids & Family’s Cecilia Persson and Magic Light Pictures’ Michael Rose join ScreenMDM Talks to discuss their partnership to bring the beloved publishing IP Zog, previously adapted into two animated specials, into a full 52-episode series.

Magic Light Pictures has acquired the assets and production pipeline of Wild Child Animation, the Scottish studio that went into administration at the end of last month, unveiling Stirling Animation Studio (SAS).

Wild Child Animation, currently working with Magic Light Pictures on the Zog series, has entered into administration, with the search now underway for a buyer for the Scottish animation outfit.
