RoseBerry Media, the vertical video studio launched by Guy Hameiri and Lior Friedman, has rolled out a mobile-first global platform featuring 100-plus titles.
The new service, epis, delivers vertical originals as well as existing IP adapted for mobile viewing across a range of genres. Roseberry has a pipeline of more than 25 vertical originals planned for this year. The platform is accessible via the App Store, Google Play, and online.
“epis, RoseBerry’s direct-to-consumer vertical streamer service is built on a simple belief: vertical entertainment can be premium,” said Guy Hameiri, co-founder and CEO of RoseBerry Media. “Audiences have changed how they consume content, but they have not stopped wanting great stories. With epis, we are bringing together world-class creative talent, proven television IP, original productions and advanced technology to create a curated, mobile-first service for audiences who want stories worth watching, whether they have five minutes or fifty. We know how to adapt any genre for the vertical format and believe there are no creative limits to what vertical storytelling can deliver or who it can reach.”
Hameiri added, “epis is also part of a much bigger RoseBerry Media ecosystem. It gives us and our partners a DTC destination, a testing and data analysis ground and a source of audience intelligence, while supporting a broader studio model designed to help the industry create, understand and monetize premium vertical television across multiple distribution windows.”
Roseberry launched just a few months ago with a slate of agreements with IP owners to reformat existing shows for vertical rollout, including A+E Global Media, Banijay Rights, Cineflix Rights and Fremantle.
The originals lineup for epis features Silvio Productions’ The Swindler and the Billionaire Murder and Lime Pictures’ Make Me a Match, while the slate of reformatted shows features Sexy Beasts, the dating format created and produced by Lion Television; You Can’t Kill Me, adapted from The Fall: Skydive Murder from Fremantle; and Homicide: Hours to Kill from Cineflix Rights.
