Australian/Canadian Co-Pro Flower & Flour Scores Second Season at ABC Australia

ABC in Australia has committed to a second season of Flower & Flour, an official Australian/Canadian co-pro from Cheeky Little Media and Sinking Ship Entertainment, with the support of Screen Australia.

Sinking Ship Entertainment handles international sales, and Cheeky Little Commercial handles global licensing.

The series was the top commissioned show for ABC Children & Family this year, averaging more than 1 million viewers over season one on ABC TV and ABC iView. It was created by Dan Mansour.

Patrick Egerton, EP and CCO at Cheeky Little Media, said, “It feels like we’ve launched into season two with massive momentum after such a strong debut for season one. This is a beautiful, authentic and funny show, with characters you love spending time with, so the stories just keep flowing.”

Melinda Wearne, ABC’s head of children and family, said, “Australian families have embraced Flower and Flour and their vibrant community, and we’re delighted to bring audiences another season of playful adventures and heartfelt moments in 2027.”

Screen Australia’s director of narrative content, Louise Gough, added,“We’re delighted to see Flower & Flour return following its joyful first season. Creator Dan Mansour and Cheeky Little Media have created a warm and playful world that reflects the vibrancy and diversity of our Australian community and inspires wonder in little viewers and their families across the globe. Congratulations to all co-production partners and commissioners, and we look forward to joining Flower, Flour and the crew on their next adventures!”

The series is a co-production with Sinking Ship Entertainment for the ABC, TVOkids, Knowledge Kids and Radio-Canada. Production funding came from Screen Australia, the Canada Media Fund, the Shaw Rocket Fund, Ontario Creates, the Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit, and the Government of Ontario’s Film and Television Tax Credit Assistance. It was financed with the assistance of Mind the Gap Film Finance and the National Bank of Canada.
