Brouhaha Entertainment Thriller Scores Dynamic & Screen Australia Backing

The Dynamic Television Scripted Initiative, organized with Screen Australia, has selected Dr Trauma, a psychological thriller and medical drama from Brouhaha Entertainment (Boy Swallows Universe), as its latest recipient.

Bestselling author Sarah Bailey penned the script for the series, produced by Troy Lum (Lee). It will receive A$100,000 in development funding, with A$50,000 contributed by each partner, plus insights from Dynamic Television.

Carrie Stein, president of global scripted at Dynamic Television, commented, “Dr Trauma explores a lead character we haven’t yet seen on television and the crime stories we hope to explore in the series are deeply emotional and complex. We’ve long been admirers of the team at Brouhaha and are excited to be partnering with them in developing this show with the talented Sarah Bailey.”

Louise Gough, Screen Australia’s director of narrative content, added, “From the experienced Brouhaha Entertainment team, Dr Trauma is a contemporary and novel take on the crime drama genre. Together with Dynamic Television, Screen Australia is excited to be supporting this project and innovative Australian storytelling.”

The Dynamic Television Scripted Initiative was established to back Australian scripted television projects with potential for global success. It previously supported How to Kill a Client and Dark Mode.
