Netflix has slated a new original based on the American High Shorts series Minimum Wage, which has logged more than 30 million views on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram since its May 2024 launch.
The 28-episode series from American High, founded by Jeremy Garelick, lands on the streaming platform later this year. It is an ensemble workplace comedy set at a pizza shop, skewing toward tween and teen audiences.
American High Shorts made its debut on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat in October 2022. Its content has drawn more than 7 billion views.
Garelick and Will Phelps serve as showrunners, writers and EPs.
