Loomi Entertainment Group (LEG) has enlisted COL Group International as an official content partner on the Loomi App, the first Southeast Asia-wide vertical-only microdrama platform.
COL has been retained to curate and acquire content for the Loomi App, launching next month with an advertising-supported and model tailored to mobile viewing behavior. COL has lined up more than 1,000 microdrama titles from COL’s global library.
“Content can be sourced anywhere, but capability cannot,” said Sharon Tse, CEO of Loomi Entertainment Group. “What makes a difference is working with a partner who actually operates microdrama platforms, understands the audience behavior and knows how titles perform across markets. COL brings intelligence, operational experience and storytelling expertise that you cannot replicate by simply licensing shows from multiple vendors.”
“Because microdramas are still new in many markets, we see a lot of content being evaluated using the same criteria as traditional TV dramas and films,” added Timothy Oh, GM at COL Group International. “But audience behavior is fundamentally different. A 2023 microdrama already looks very different from one produced in 2025—not just in storytelling, but in pacing, format and how it is shaped by viewer data. Viewing habits, genre performance, and even gender preference shift quickly in this space. As a pioneer operating some of the world’s leading microdrama platforms, COL Group International has built deep insight into these patterns. Our role goes beyond content licensing. Through our international B2B arm, we work with new platforms to curate the right content for the right audience, reduce risk, and help turn experimentation into a sustainable business.”
