Matt Charman’s action thriller Prisoner has secured a second season commission at Sky, with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution handling international sales.
Izuka Hoyle is reprising her role in the show, produced by Binocular in association with Sky Studios. Charman continues as showrunner and is being joined by Sophie Petzal as writer.
The second season promised to expand on the “tense, morally complex” world of the show, following Hoyle’s character, a prison transport officer. The second season will be available on Sky in the U.K. and Ireland.
