HBO Max has acquired Russell T Davies’ Quay Street Productions drama Tip Toe from ITV Studios for 14 territories across Europe.
The deal with Warner Bros. Discovery covers Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. The series was already acquired by STARZ for for the U.S. and English-speaking Canada.
Jemma Harvey, EVP for EMEA and U.K. sales and distribution at ITV Studios, commented, “Russell T Davies has brought to screen a deeply resonant and powerful story, and it is wonderful to see it find a home on HBO Max for viewers across Europe to enjoy.”
The acclaimed five-parter starring Alan Cumming and David Morrissey recently launched on Channel 4 in the U.S. It is billed as a tense, suburban thriller.
Tip Toe is produced by Quay Street Productions, with Nicola Shindler, CEO, Davies, Peter Hoar and Cumming as EPs.
